The IEEE 11073 PHD group works under the auspices of the IEEE Standards Association (SA). The work of IEEE 11073 PHD relates to the wider work of the IEEE 11073 General Commitee. The IEEE 11073 PHD standards leverage the work of the wider family of IEEE 11073 standards including:
IEEE 11073-10101 Nomenclature
IEEE 11073-20101 Domain Information Model
Full information on the ongoing work of the group can be found on the IEEE Standards Association (SA) information pages.
Continua Alliance and PCH Alliance
The IEEE 11073 PHD group has close links to the Continua Alliance and PCH Alliance, as the IEEE 11073 PHD standards are adopted and profiled in the Continua Guidelines. Further information on PCH Alliance can be found at pchalliance.org.
Federal Drugs Administration (FDA)
The IEEE 11073 PHD standards have been adopted as Recognized Concensus Standards by the FDA.
NIST maintain a database of the nomenclature that is used by IEEE 11073, and is known as RTMMS. The nomenclature is published as IEEE 11073-10101.
NIST further maintain a set of tools to assist with modelling devices and conformance testing.
The IEEE 11073 PHD liaise with the ITU in order for the ITU to publish its Recommendation ITU-T H.810 on profiling and using the IEEE 11073 PHD standards.
